Nordic Vaccine

was founded in April 2001 by members of the Vaccinology Group at the University of Copenhagen and representatives from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.

 

The company's initial name was "Pharomed", which was changed to "Nordic Vaccine Technology" in 2004 and the company was finally renamed “Nordic Vaccine” in 2006.

 

  

Selected major milestones from Nordic Vaccines history:

 

■ 2001 Founding and filing of the key patent for the Posintro™ technology platform .

 

■ 2003 Initiation of a strategic partnership with Coloplast A/S on transcutaneous vaccination; TransVac™.

 

■ 2004 Entry of external investors, hiring of staff and relocating to the current facilities at Symbion Science Park.   

 

■ 2005 Initiation of a Danish High Technology Foundation founded project on transdermal immunisation.  

 

■ 2006 Establishment of validated GMP facility for clinical production located at Coloplast .

  

■ 2007 Establishment of GLP validated laboratory facility  at Symbion for clinical analytical purposes.

 

■ 2008 Expansion of  the Posintro™ platform by generation of new IP on Carbohydrate antigens.
